Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Sudoku Trail is a mobile puzzle game published by Arfly Studios ("Arfly Studios," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Sudoku Trail.
2. Information stored locally on your device
Sudoku Trail stores gameplay information locally on your device so the app can function and remember your progress. This may include:
- Campaign and Daily Challenge progress;
- completed levels, game results, mistakes, times, streaks, and statistics;
- current or saved game sessions;
- theme, accessibility, gameplay, and reminder preferences;
- free-hint and rewarded-hint state; and
- the identifier and time of a scheduled local reminder.
This information is not uploaded to an Arfly Studios server. It remains on your device until it is removed by clearing the app's data, uninstalling the app, or using any relevant reset feature provided by your operating system.
3. Daily Reminder notifications
The optional Daily Reminder is disabled by default. Sudoku Trail requests notification permission only when you choose to enable the feature. If enabled, the reminder is scheduled locally on your device at the time you select.
Sudoku Trail does not register a push token, does not use a remote notification server, and does not send your reminder time to Arfly Studios. You can disable the reminder in the app's Settings or revoke notification permission in your device settings.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
Sudoku Trail offers optional rewarded advertisements supplied through Google AdMob. You may choose to watch an advertisement to receive an in-game hint. A reward is provided only after the advertisement reports that the reward was earned.
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes, including:
- your device's IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- app and advertisement interactions, such as app launches, taps, and video views;
- diagnostic and performance information; and
- device or account identifiers, such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID, where available.
Google processes this information under its own terms and privacy practices. Data transmitted by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit. Depending on your location and consent choices, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized, limited, or technical ads.

5. Consent and privacy choices
Where required, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Sudoku Trail uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent. The choices presented may include consent, refusal, and management of advertising purposes and partners.
When available, you can review or change your advertising consent through Settings → Privacy choices in Sudoku Trail. You may also manage or reset your Android advertising ID through your device's privacy settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
6. Permissions
Sudoku Trail may use the following Android capabilities:
- Internet and network access: required to request and display advertisements and communicate with Google advertising services;
- Notifications: used only for the optional Daily Reminder after you enable it;
- Receive boot completed: used by the notification library to restore an enabled reminder after a device restart; and
- Vibration or haptics: used for ordinary game feedback and notification behavior controlled by the operating system.
Sudoku Trail does not require an account and does not intentionally request access to your precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone.
7. How information is shared
Arfly Studios does not sell your personal information. Because the game has no Arfly Studios account or backend service, we do not receive or share your locally stored puzzle progress. Information may be processed by Google and its advertising partners when the advertising SDK is used, subject to your consent choices and applicable law.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent fraud, or defend legal rights.
8. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored game data remains on your device until you clear the app's storage, uninstall Sudoku Trail, or use an applicable device or in-app reset mechanism. Arfly Studios cannot remotely access or delete this local data.
Information processed by Google is retained according to Google's policies and your Google or device privacy controls. Because Sudoku Trail does not create user accounts, there is no account to delete. If you contact us, we retain your correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, maintain support records, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
9. Security
We limit the information handled directly by Sudoku Trail and keep game progress on your device. Network data handled by third-party services is protected according to those providers' security measures; Google states that Mobile Ads SDK data is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
10. International data processing
Google and its advertising partners may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is governed by their privacy policies and applicable safeguards for international data transfers.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information, including the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority.
Most Sudoku Trail information is stored only on your device and can be removed by clearing app data or uninstalling the app. For advertising information controlled by Google, use the consent form, your device's advertising controls, or Google's privacy tools. 12. Children's privacy
Sudoku Trail is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review the matter.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, its third-party services, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy at this address and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated within the app or its store listing where appropriate.
